I am joining my family on this saving money and being kinder to the enviroment bandwagon. Over the last month our facebook pages have been filled with chatter on different homemade cleaning recipe's and making our own laundry detergent. Here are a few of the recipe's that have been passed on to me. I hope you take a moment and try them, or maybe forward them to someone who could use these!***Homemade Lemon Lysol: 1/4 cup baking soda. 1/2 cup borax. 1/2 cup white vinegar. 1/4 cup lemon juice. Place all ingriedients in a gallon jug (save, rinse and reuse those milk jugs!). shake and let it dissolve. Fill remainder of jug with tap water. Place some of this in spray bottles (again save, rinse and reuse those empty cleaner bottles-just label them) and Happy cleaning!!!*** Homemade 409 cleaner: 2 cups white vinegar. 3/4 cup lemon scent ammonia. 1/8 cup dawn dish soap(original formula). place all of this in a 1 gallon jug (reuse those milk jugs again!).
